38 Horndean Road, Emsworth

Sunday 20th October, 2pm to 4pm

Sarah Sanderson is kindly opening her garden for EHS members for a Sunday afternoon visit. This will be our last chance to visit Sarah’s garden.

FYI Sarah unfortunately strained her neck at the end of September. Although she is not in pain any more, she is been restricted in what she can do and as a result wanted members to know that the garden may not look as “tickety-boo” as she would have liked for your visit.

Sarah describes her garden as:

“A mature garden laid to lawn with well developed borders and mature trees. Small raised pond near the house, and larger octagonal pond with swing seat at the bottom.
Fruit and asparagus patch at the far end. The raised beds in fruit patch (and owners) are now disintegrating….so this will be the last time we will be able to open the garden.”

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available as usual, thanks to Heather and Gill.

There will be second-hand gardening books available for a donation to the charity, Perennial.

As usual if you have any plants for the plant swap you are welcome to bring them along. Remember to take any of your plants, still left at the end, home with you.

Address: 38 Horndean Road, Emsworth, PO10 7PT

There is parking across the road in the Emsworth Recreational Ground (depending on the sports activities on the day!)
