Day Trip to Andy McIndoe’s Garden & Broadlands Garden Show

Members of the Emsworth Horticultural Society enjoyed a delightful outing to Andy McIndoe’s private garden, followed by a visit to the Broadlands Garden Show.

Andy welcomed us warmly and shared expert insights into his beautifully designed garden.

With its elegant structure, vibrant planting schemes, and clever combinations, it was a source of inspiration for all. Members appreciated the chance to explore the space and pick up practical ideas from such a seasoned plantsman.

In the afternoon, we made our way to the Broadlands Garden Show, set in the picturesque grounds of the estate. The event featured a fine selection of specialist nurseries, garden accessories, and artisan stalls — with plenty of tempting finds for green-fingered visitors.

The weather was kind, staying dry almost until the end, rounding off a thoroughly enjoyable and sociable day.
