The EHS coach trip to Exbury Gardens on 20 August provided a chance to appreciate the gardens in late summer.
Although the azaleas and camellias have ceased to bloom, there was still plenty of colour in the 200 acres site, particularly in the Sundial Garden and along the Hydrangea Walk.
The River Walk alongside the Beaulieu provided peace and tranquillity, in complete contrast to the steam railway at the other side of the site, which was popular with hordes of children.
