Bramdean House Garden Self-drive Trip

Friday 26th July, 2.30pm

Self-drive trip to Bramdean, nr Alresford, SO24 0JU

Come and enjoy the private gardens of this 18th Century house which is opening exclusively for our members under the National Garden Scheme. Bramdean is a real “plant lover’s garden” with many rare and unusual plants from all over the world. Highlights of this 5 acre garden include:

  • The famous mirror-image herbaceous borders, planted with over one hundred species
  • A vast topiarised cloud hedge of yew and box
  • A large, special collection of old-fashioned sweet peas.
  • The 1 acre walled garden, filled with an abundance of fruit and vegetables
  • Rambling rose covered apple trees in the wild orchard with its curving tapestry hedge

Refreshments and an introductory talk by the head gardener or owner are included in the ticket price of £10
