Andrew Halstead will be explaining insects and other invertebrate animals that are useful as pollinators, predators or parasites, and their use as biological controls for some glasshouse and garden pests. ‘‘Beneficial insects in the Garden’‘ covers pollinating insects and those that prey on other insects and mites that damage garden plants. As well as nematodes, insects and mites that can be purchased to control specific pests in gardens and greenhouses are featured.
This will be a zoom talk only – there will be no physical meeting.
So you can enjoy the talk from the comfort of your own home.
Before he retired, Andrew Halstead was the Royal Horticultural Society’s Entomologist. He has more than 40 years experience of garden pests and other garden wildlife. He is a beekeeper, allotment holder and a conservation volunteer on Horsell Common near Woking.
