Ben Cross will give the EHS an exclusive tour of his fourth generation, award winning, sustainably run flower nursery with 3 acres of glasshouses filled to the brim with Sussex grown Alstroemeria.
He will talk us through the processes that he uses to grow the very popular Alstroemeria. The tour will last 1hr to 1hr 30 mins. Bouquets of flowers can be purchased for £3.00 (cash only)
NB This is a working nursery and the pathways are easy to walk on but not wheelchair accessible. There are benches available if people want to take a break during the tour
Lunch Options
If you would like to have lunch before the talk. The Holly Tree pub (built in 1867) is a 2 minute drive from the nursery in Walberton Village. They have the menu on their website but also do light lunch, sandwiches etc. Or if you prefer you could visit for tea or coffee after the talk.
