Day trip to Exbury Gardens in the New Forest
Cost £31.00, including a ‘Meet and Greet Talk’ when we arrive

More than 100 years in the making, Exbury’s glorious gardens, designed and curated by the de Rothschild family, have the power to delight and inspire in equal measure. This spectacular collection of landscaped woodland, herbaceous, contemporary, formal and wildflower gardens provide an ever-changing palette of colour.

In August the seasonal spotlight focus is on Exbury’s heavenly hydrangeas along Hydrangea Walk which is planted with a range of Teller hybrids. These resplendent blues and mauves move into pinks and white, stunning during late-summer. A collection of Hydrangea Paniculata can be found along Azalea Drive on the way to Jubilee Hill.

Explore 200 acres of beautiful Gardens including the Iris, Herbaceous, Sundial and Centenary Gardens all in bloom with a heady mix of perennials and exotic flowers. The herbaceous summer beds, some of the largest herbaceous borders in the UK, are wonderful throughout the summer. The River Walks offer shady tranquillity with beautiful views over the Beaulieu River.

Paths are compacted gravel and tarmac. Wheelchair friendly paths. There is also small stream land train for £7, shop and plants to buy. Wednesday 20th will also be Donkey Day.

You can bring a picnic, or enjoy the indoor café/restaurant or outdoor café for lunch or snacks.

To Book This Trip

1. Booking opens on Monday, 9th June at 9.00am. Please email Camille Driver at chylowena@yahoo.co.uk stating the names and membership numbers of those you wish to book for.
2. You will receive an email to confirm whether spaces are still available and if your place has been reserved. If you have not received confirmation within 48 hours please call Camille on 02392 259236.
3. Once you receive this confirmation, please send a follow-up email including the following information:
   a) Your method of payment, either BACS or Cheque and date payment was made. (See below for payment details).
   b) A mobile number for each person
   c) An emergency contact number (ICE) for each person, for use on the day of the trip.
4. You should then make payment as soon as possible. Your reservation will be held for 48 hours if paying by BACS and until next post if paying by cheque
5. You will then receive a payment confirmation email.
